Movie Reviews
Miserable fail at all the topics it tries to identify with
Don't waste your time!
On reflection, I'm really astonished that I managed to get as far through the film as I did, given that this is possibly the worst piece of garbage that I've seen in many years.
This is supposed to be a highly technical movie which requires a modicum of understanding of science and physics, which were most definitely sadly lacking in this script. The acting was mediocre, at best, and it looked like a request had been made of the crew for anyone to volunteer their house to be used as the set, It was so appalling!
The final straw, for me, is when it was clear to me that the rate is simply did not have the breadth of creativity to consider the young English girl could hunter round and find a spare key to get through the locked office door. Instead, his imagination stretched no further than her picking the door lock - WITH A DINNER FORK!
Words fail me!
Hardly a thriller
Described as a 'gripping sci-fi thriller', it meets one of those three claims. It's sci-fi. The plot is mildly intriguing with some curious perspectives that feel somewhat fresh. However, the movie presents itself as if it was an essay converted into a dialogue, which was redeveloped into a screenplay and finally promoted to a low budget movie that found it's way to my TV screen.
The positive is that the arguments presented about the AI's capability are plausible and not wishful thinking. The negative is that it has a monotone feel to its delivery, with the plot twists not very surprising at all.
Watch it if you're looking to stretch your mind a little. Don't watch it if you're hoping to satisfy your sci-fi craving.
