Plot summary

A recently divorced mother allows her troubled daughter to attend prom, but what was supposed to be the best night of their lives turns into a twisted cat and mouse game when the daughter and her friends are taken hostage by their limousine driver.

What a pathetic excuse for a movie

Really dumb storyline, poor acting and sad excuse for a movie. Netflix wasted money on this one. It was like a bunch of rookies wrote this storyline. The acting was really bad also.We all fell asleep waiting for something good to happen.Nothing more to say but avoid this one. It is pure stupidity.

Why?

The premise of the movie is simple enough to grasp. Teenagers going to prom and somehow find themselves abducted. So as you settle in to watch this movie, you think there is no way anybody can mess up such a simple plot. That can't be any further from the truth. This movie seemed like 2 hours worth of improv performed on a tight schedule with an immediate "due by close of business" deadline. I will include no spoilers because something this bad needs to be seen for yourself. You will laugh, you will yell and you will no doubt be confused and angry. After an hour, you will hope that this limo goes over a cliff to put an end to this trash on film you are viewing.

Cosmopolisesque

I haven't seen Cosmopolis which starred Robert Pattison and was directed by David "Scanners" Cronenberg, but in some ways I was reminded about the movie when I decided to tune into another Lifetime movie, Abducted on Prom Night. Admittedly, the premise is very intriguing and quite effectively claustrophobic being in the back of the limo, trapped by a driver who has very ulterior motives. Anyway, Lifetime movies are what they are, and they provide jobs for the actors and production crew and you don't have too think too hard to enjoy Abducted on Prom Night. Perhaps there can be a sequel or something.
