Trite - Solipsistic - Banal.
Trite - whole thing takes place in predictably beautiful Italian countryside the go to setting for upper middle class white spousal angst.
Solipsistic - two thoroughly unlikeable characters in a relentlessly non-stop "deep thoughts' harangue about their failed marriage - two self-centered narcissists, who'd a thunk the marriage would crash and burn.
Banal - she's a continuous stream of snarky quips - and ever-ready bunny of snide - he's the overly groomed affluent suburban guy always looking to catch a glimpse of himself in any passing shiny surface yet talking in some Long Island tough guy patois.
Particularly deserving of demerit is the script - whoever wrote the dialogue should have their computer mouse taken away for a minimum of 5 years - which shouldn't be too onerous insofar as it's of the caliber of an overly precocious 18 year old co-ed - so in five years they ought to have matured.
So, there it is - my advice, don't waste your time unless you like being annoyed since this isn't even ridicule worthy. :-)

To say this is excruciating boring would be an understatement
Now this is painful
Discovered this film while searching Allison Miller ( Maggie of 'A Million Little things" ) and what a shock. This girl brought tears to my eyes. She is just an incredible dramatic actress.
The movie is presented as a couple trying to save their marriage, don't believe it. Strangely enough they are saying goodbye to their marriage and travel a tortured road to discovery.
I can't give away the ending but if you don't cry you're not human.
Watch it with your loved one.
Beautiful movie all around.
I don't normally watch a movie like this. But I truly enjoyed the plot the actors and the beautiful scenery. This movie will truly bring out your inner self if you have loved and been in a relationship whether it was good or bad. It won't disappoint.
