This is the most confusing film in a confusing language, in a confusing production from a non bollywoodistick kind of movie, were the twists relays into another twist, so catch me if you can, it will either hit you....or not
its a caotic movie though made in a ducumentary reality-tv style, but what genre this is i shall not say.i do not know bollywood at all, therefore i cant measure the performances of the actors, but the idea seems to me as quite original, never seen a kind of story like this before, but i'm just a junior with only 5000 films in my brain directory so search me for not knowing.
what i liked though were the musical score that was way apart from the usual bollywood stuff, and therefore interesting and tantalising.no chorus lines in this one.
so if my very worst enemy should give me a birthday present like this, i would have gone to bandarseribegawaan to slip away from that. i liked the idea though so therefore a small recommend from the grumpy old man

Something New In Bollywood After a Long Time / Grade B
Mindblowing antics by the leading men and a heavy satire on Bollywood and the film industry in general are what push this almost predictable thriller drama that has a tinge of dark humour into an enjoyable feast. More than the story, I loved the potshots that the film and its 'real' characters take on each other (mostly on Anurag Kashyap, who also sports a deprecating air here) and the hypocritic film industry; it's charmingly amusing and you are bound to sit up in your chair at least once through the film. The meta element is fun to watch as it unfolds and grabs you by the throat. AK vs AK is no masterpiece, and with those unneeded cussy dialogues, it's not lightweight either. But it packs a punch and both Anil Kapoor and Kashyap need to be lauded for the audacity to do something like this. Give it a watch for sure. Grade B.
Reminiscent of 'One Cut Of The Dead'.
My Rating : 7/10
Bollywood-ised version of 'One Cut Of The Dead' with all of the meta filmmaking and interconnection of plot suited for the personal and professional lives of both the AKs.
Superb and worth a watch - you won't find such movies in Bollywood which want to break the fourth wall so hard.
Real good experiment, kudos!
