My first Ghallywood movie.
Romeo & Juliet set in Ghana, minus the melodrama and the tragedy.
A lighhearted feelgood comedy, with a simple storyline and a predictable outcome. In a town divided into two opposing groups, a man and woman from opposite sides fall for each other.
The script is a bit childish and naive at times, but it is funny and lighthearted. I liked the yellow and blue sets, clothes and everyday objects. It reminded me of a mix between Wes Anderson and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Amélie.
If you're feeling blue or yellow, this is a good way to spend 106 minutes and end the day with a smile.
Plot summary
In a town divided into two opposing groups, a man and woman from opposite sides fall for each other. But can love transcend the line that separates them?

Amélie-style feelgood rom-com from Ghallywood
Such a cute story
I love this movie! The cinematography such as the monochromatic buildings then the train with the yellow and blue merged, so so beautiful. The story is the best it's definitely got deeper meaning- writer is genius. Production quality could however definitely be higher, the script felt translated and there was a few moments that i found quite odd like how normal it was for older men to look at younger girls in a romantic way and the jokes about women avoiding pregnancy were offensive and definitely not aligned with modern Womans rights movements. Ultimately, a feel good movie- the ending is so precious!
