Honestly, fifteen or twenty minutes in I couldn't figure out what this is. First it seems like a documentay on "caravan life", and with a passing reference to some guy who founded something, but - weirdly - all we see is long lines of Airstreams. Then they go on about the manufacture of Airstreams, then show you some, I dunno... "classic era?" trailers that seem to be something else. If this was meant to be a documentary about the history of Airstreams (which is what I thought when I got it), I'm fine with that. But they don't make that at all clear, so I ditched out because a documentary is a documentary, and a promotional video is a promotional video, and you really do the viewer a disservice by refusing to make clear at the outset which it is. In either case, I'm kind of amazed that nobody involved pointed this out so that people like me could be could be something other than baffled.

Okay, I took a look at the vid's web site, and they claim that it's an independent documentary without ties to Airstream. Fair enough. But it also suggests that the people who made it know what they're doing, which I would take issue with. So my suggestion to them is to pull it from release, scurry back to that editing room, and *completely* rewrite the script as something that resembles an actual doc, you know, with a cast of characters, and a chronology, and all that very normal, expected stuff. Then maybe we can buy into your thesis rather than just bailing and watching something else instead.
