Nothing new here. Still, it does have enough random elements that I enjoyed watching it overall. Drug addict director is given second chance with a fright fest. And of course a bus transporting the criminally insane just happens to crash near by the abandoned asylum that is housing the fright fest. Go Figure! I wish there was a bit more to the ending rather than just "It ends." Production quality is low in some areas (i.e. Did they simply ask people to walk through the fright fest and "act scared"?), but oddly enough I enjoyed the actors and some of the main characters enough to enjoy watching this film. But, if you don't enjoy basic slasher films without much plot or character development, this isn't for you.

Fright Fest? More like Turd Fest
A horror film director called Spencer Crowe is roped in to creating a Halloween Fright Fest at a former mental asylum, but when two escaped real life psychos show up the killing is for real. Horrible movie. Not a single interesting character, its attempts at humour just did not work for me, there is quite a high body count but lacks any memorable kills and towards the end I was yawning my head off. The single significant black character turns out to be a drug dealer and the killer wears a spooky mask and brandishes a chainsaw, how much more unoriginal can it get? In better hands this had potential but ultimately just a poor slasher movie, there are plenty of other and much better Halloween films to chose from.
