In a certain year, that was a breaking point.
Before that, the name Bruce Willis was a guarantee of quality action movies; after that, the name became a guarantee of a movie's necessarily poor quality.
A sigh...

A sigh...
This film is dross, Bruce Willis has entered into the realms of Nick Cage, turning out for any old script that pays.
Least Nick gives out the sporadic lil gem here and there.
Atrociously boring and slow paced...
Well, I have to say that Bruce Willis sure isn't delivering the same kind of interesting and watchable movies like he used to do. Granted, the man is getting older, but the last decade or so has been one poor excuse of a movie after another, you know, the direct-to-DVD type of action movies that Steven Seagal ended up making.
But still, I had the opportunity to sit down and watch the 2021 action thriller "American Siege" here in 2022, so of course I did so, on the off-chance that Bruce Willis actually had put out a movie worthwhile watching. But that was not the case here with writers Edward Drake and Corey Large's 2021 movie. Nay, and calling "American Siege" an action thriller is pressing the term, as there was no thrills here, and only miniscule action.
"American Siege" should have been named "American Dialogue", because it was essentially just 100 minutes of people standing around talking. It was so insanely boring to watch, and I gave up 50 minutes into the ordeal. This movie from director Edward Drake was just a swing and a miss.
There simply just wasn't enough momentum or drive to "American Siege", and such a thing for an action thriller is just a death sentence.
The acting performances in "American Siege" were lukewarm at best, and even Bruce Willis seemed like he didn't believe in the script and storyline. So you're not in for an evening of thespian performances if you sit down to watch "American Siege".
If you enjoy action thrillers, then "American Siege" is one I would recommend you not waste your time, money or effort on.
My rating of "American Siege" lands on a two out of ten stars.
