I love Helena Bergström and the first two movies but here it is just blatantly absurd to cast doubt on who (cf heading). Why is Fanny keeping it unclear?

The writing credits for this film is a joke. There is no script. Some of Sweden's more popular actors engage in endless discussiona about who slept with whom and when, resulting in who fathered which person. All in much improvised dialogue. Nice photography all through. End credits.

This is one of my personal favorite feel good movies. I saw it on TV once and bought a new universal-region DVD player just so I could buy & play the DVD. It's a really original concept full of delightful characters, fairy tale like warmth and local color and a marvelous music score. I find myself smiling all the way through except when I'm howling out loud at the juxtaposition of naivete and sophistication. It is a bit long and drags in spots but better than most of what TV generally offers. I also have the sequel and like most such, it is not quite up to the level of the original.
