Oh Good, I'm One of The First to Watch This Garbage...

As the first reviewer states, Netflix is a major player in the streaming movie game, and this is advertised as one of the "most watched" or "popular" movie. So me being me, I decided to tune in to see for myself why this movie is rated as "popular" by netflix. Man i tell you I wish I would have passed this mess of a movie up.The acting is completely over-bearing and portrayed exactly like their drama coach would have advised. The over-acting blends well with the complete crappy music that drones on in the background. Most soap operas are done better than this, but I suspect they made and completed the film in less than a month as its release date is 2024.If you decide to pass up this film feel good about it, because you are not missing much.

A niche film for a target audience

This film would be perfect for someone I knew a few years ago...she was in her mid-40s, had an Instagram account, did that lip smacking thing probably because she thought it was sexy, and worst of all attended Drake concerts.

Target Audience:

  • Divorced, seperated, unhappily married
  • Over 35
  • Have an interest in romance novels
  • Enjoy cliche Turkish dramas

On a serious note, objectively aligning my mindset with the desired target audience the film does what it says on the tin. You don't watch Jason Statham movies (excluding London) for the stellar acting. You watch it because you know what to expect. On that note I'd give it a 4.

The production quality is excellent.

The lead actress did a good job.

Honestly, I'm a little baffled to the low reviews. Are we rating based on quality or our own subjective taste? If that's the case then I'd give those brilliant Pixar animations 2's all days long. Can't stand sitting through them blasted Animations with the kids, however, I recognise quality when I see it!

Not to get carried away, even in this niche this film isn't great but it certainly isn't awful.
