Funny but it would be more funny if a i was a girl, its not as fun as bridesmaids like the poster said ok, lets not lie ok producers its bad to lie, so the two main actresses are funny and they have are going to have good careers, both are young and attractive so its a win win for them, the whole premise is simple but effective, she is pregnant and her friend with experience in the matter is helping her, but that friend also has his own struggles and its not easy for her, its a comedy movie about friendship and the struggle to maintain that friendship, everyone has an past experience like this one, overall 6/10 ok little movie.

I saw Babes, starring Ilana Glazer-Broad City_tv, Rough Night; Michelle Buteau-First Wives Club_tv, Marry Me; Hasan Minhaj-The Spy Who Dumped Me, The Dailey Show_tv and John Carroll Lynch-Big Sky_tv, The Founder.

This is a comedy about female friendship that is just not that funny. Ilana & Michelle are childhood friends living in New York City and have always done everything together. On holidays, they even have a routine of going to the movies-just the 2 of them. Michelle is married to Hasan and they have 2 kids but Ilana is single. After carefree Ilana has a one night stand and gets pregnant, she decides to keep the baby and she wants Michelle to help her-the one night stand died. John plays Michelle's doctor that delivered her children and now, will be Ilana's. Maybe it's because I'm a male but I just didn't think that a lot of the humor was that funny. Lots of lactating jokes and pooping jokes. An example of one of the jokes; the mother pooping all over the baby during childbirth. There were a couple of cameos-Sandra Bernhard & Oliver Platt-but they didn't add much to the story. Maybe they showed up as a favor to someone.

It's rated R for language, drug use and sexual content-partial nudity-and has a running time of 1 hour & 44 minutes.

It's not one that I would buy on DVD but if you want to see it, I guess it would be alright to stream.

I have literally never written a review on here, but I'm so shocked by the negative reviews that I feel compelled to do so.

I saw this movie tonight as a part of Cinemark's "Secret Movie" series and I was so pleasantly surprised. This movie was NOT on my radar at all (and I go to the theater every weekend), so imagine my surprise when this movie came on and I absolutely loved it!!

I honestly don't think I would've ever gone to this movie if it weren't for this "secret movie" thing, but it was so funny I would honestly go see it again. I laughed the entire time.

I just saw on a poster for it a critic say something like "Bridemaids for having a baby" and I couldn't agree more. This was a movie about women and women issues, and I'm not a woman, but the humor is so good that none of that mattered.

Maybe it's because I live Broad City, but this movie hit that same exact sense of humor and it was amazing.

It was also surprisingly heartfelt and sweet.

Ignore whatever these other reviews are saying. They're clearly made by boomers who can't handle women being hilariously crude and raunchy. It's rare to find actual comedies these days, and this one does not disappoint. GO SEE IT.
