Blackmailed (2018) as it currently stands at the moment of this review has an IMDB rating of 2.4 with under 25 total votes.Now this is a film for a certain audience and considering it was released in 2018, it certainly doesn't look as if it will grow.Now on to the film. It's a film and it's very lengthy in runtime and you have to give credit to the filmmakers for stuffing a lot of material to satisfy their fans.The title of this review is referring to the lone review by fellow "expert critic". The fact that this person claimed to have watched 23 minutes out of a film over 2 hours 30 minutes yet thought it warranted a review is exactly what is wrong. Person saw the low rating, the cover art and its long runtime yet still decided to watch the film.Lastly this is a film for certain audiences and not everyone will enjoy the same thing. One person's trash is another person's gold.My rating of writer and director Chima Okoroji's 2018 movie "Blackmailed" (aka "Hooked") lands on a generous ten out of ten stars (simply to offset the troll).

Downright terrible...

Initially, when I picked up this movie, I do believe I was in for a movie from Maverick Entertainment, given the movie's cover. Luckily, it was not.However, the joy was short lived, because the script and storyline for this movie was an insane swing and a miss from writer Chima Okoroji. I found no enjoyment in the narrative, and the character gallery was about as interesting as watching grass grow. And I tossed the towel in the ring at 23 minutes of absolute boredom, and I just knew that there was no way I was going to sit through 152 minutes of this rubbish.Needless to say that I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. As for the acting performances, well I wasn't impressed with what I saw. But then again, the actors and actresses virtually had nothing to work with in terms of script, storyline or character gallery.This is not a movie that I would recommend you to waste 152 minutes on watching. Nor is it a movie that I will return to and attempt finish watching.My rating of writer and director Chima Okoroji's 2018 movie "Blackmailed" (aka "Hooked") lands on a generous one out of ten stars.
