Self aware low budget zombie disaster

It's a low budget zombie horror film starring relatively unknown actors and starring Alexis Texas- beloved adult actress as her presumed first leading role. The film plays out as one would expect. It's cheesy with bad acting, low budget looking special effects, especially with a little too much blood splatter (very bright red blood).Nothing is exactly scary, the zombies makeup doesn't look promising and it's noticeable cheap looking. The dialogue is the biggest problem. The characters try too hard in being clever or funny where it isn't. Mainly the intern woman, spewing out random F-bombs relentlessly after every other line. The security guard talking to himself was meant to be funny but came off as silly. Texas plays the typical dumb sleazy blond type who inevitably is one of the remaining survivors.Overall not a good film, it's as bad as expected if not worse with the tropes one would expect- few shots of nudity for the sake of it. It's self aware and wasn't made to win awards but it could have been a lot more entertaining.

No, just no...

Right, well anything with zombies is bound to draw my attention. And thus it was when I stumbled upon the 2011 movie "Bloodlust Zombies". And never having heard about it, and seeing it was a zombie movie, of course I had to give it a chance.

However, I must admit that I wasn't harboring any expectations to the movie, as it just wasn't a movie that screamed high end production. But still, I gave writer and director Dan Lantz the benefit of the doubt.

I should have saved myself the time and trouble, because "Bloodlust Zombies" was not a good movie. This was a low budget movie, and I was assuming that, given the movie's cover. But it is not one of those low budget zombie movies that turned out to be great and enjoyable, nay. This movie was just downright not entertaining.

The acting performances in "Bloodlust Zombies" were dubious. And you know that when you have nudity within the first minutes of a movie, then you're not really in for anything worthwhile. And I have to say that I didn't even manage to sit this one through to the end. The storyline was just too boring and poorly written to provide me with entertainment.

Needless to say that I wasn't familiar with the cast ensemble in the movie. Nor can I claim to say that I was impressed with the dubious acting that I witnessed.

Visually then you're not in for any displays of great special effects. But hey, at least they tried. But again, this was a low budget movie, and it definitely showed on the screen.

If you enjoy zombie movies, like I do, then do yourself a favor and spare yourself the anguish. Some of us suffered through "Bloodlust Zombies" so you don't have to.

My rating of "Bloodlust Zombies" lands on a two out of ten stars.
