"Bone Cage" is a remarkably powerful Indie film. Brilliantly acted and superbly directed, you can add to the list wonderful cinematography that takes you into the heart of rural Nova Scotia. Based upon an award winning play, this film delivers exactly what Indie film fans love; an honest, authentic presentation of life in a world that rarely makes it to the screen.
I don't understand some of the hate in these reviews. If you don't like films about Real Life in rural towns and the struggles that they face, then stick to the Hollywood stuff.
Plot summary
Jamie (Taylor Olson) works a wood processor, clear-cutting for pulp in small-town Nova Scotia. At the end of each shift, he walks through the destruction he has created looking for injured animals and rescues those he can. Adapted from a play by Nova Scotian author Catherine Banks, Bone Cage is an impressive first feature from Halifax actor/filmmaker Taylor Olson that sensitively excavates the tragedy of how young people in rural communities, employed in the destruction of their environment, treat the people they love at the end of their shift.

Great Indie Film
Unwatchable
This movie is garbage. Imagine an independent film that sucks. Here it is.
Bone garbage
This movie was a huge waste of an 1 hour and 30 minutes. The idea behind the movie was great, although how the directors and producers approached this one was horrendous. The whole movie I thought I was watching some old family video tape. Do better.
