Plot summary

Sam is a secret agent whose toughest mission to date is pleasing her bride-to-be best friend at a lavish destination wedding. When a team of mercenaries crashes the party and takes the guests hostage, Sam is thrown into a fight unlike any before — one where she can’t risk blowing her cover or ruining the big day. As she takes on the bad guys in a high-stakes battle disguised as a fairy-tale affair, she realizes the real threat might be closer than she thinks.

Not Wilson's best

This is a mindless comedy that isn't exceptionally funny. The acting is poor, the plot is poor, the jokes are contrived and totally expected. There are no surprises in this movie. The editing and continuity was done by an amateurs as I pointed out in Goofs. If you are a Rebel Wilson fan (which I am), you'll probably see the movie and then wish you'd waited for it to stream. Even then, it will prove to be a waste of 1 hour 45 minutes of your life. Rebel Wilson't stunt double was pretty good, but the director had to make these stunt sequences at a distance or with the face away from the camera. Definitely a low budget film with low budget crew.

Not what i was expecting but i like it.

So when they said Bridehard and I saw Rebel Wilson on the poster, I was thinking Bridesmaids and pondering if Rebel had the guts to go the distance in comedy.As it turns out Bridehard was a play on words for meaning Die Hard...At a wedding. Not a bad turnaround for a movie, but it was more funny than it was action-packed.What sucks about that is that this movie was directed by Simon West. Back in the day, Simon West was a name that met action: Con Air, Tomb Raider, The Mechanic. To have the director's name on this, I wanted to see better than what I got when it comes to action. They could have gotten someone else to point and shoot the camera, and the movie would have been just as good, but having Simon West as a director means this movie could have been better, but it wasn't.Best to see it for free on a streaming service.
