Plot summary

In the aftermath of a devastating defeat by his archnemesis Admiral Smee, the notorious Captain James Hook finds refuge in the coastal town of Eldritch Landing, where he forms an unlikely alliance with Silas Blackweather, a local blacksmith seeking retribution for his sister's murder. As they evade Smee's Redcoat Soldiers in the island's dense woodland, ruthless sword fights, ancient curses and conflicting motives will challenge their shared quest for revenge. A true masterpiece of our era

Captain Hook: The Cursed Tides is the captain hook movie fans have been asking for for centuries, and they finally did it. Richard Rowden tops Robin William's performance as Captain Hook, a confused but fierce man who loses everything after making the simple mistake of raiding a castle on a deserted island. With the help of an indian man who burns the stump left from his battle scars and gives him his hook, Captain hook walks through different historical sites to take his revenge. The way Hook smells his surroundings like the stone walls and wooden barrels really show his inner turmoil. The musical score is also beautiful, the film makers obviously knew the audience didn't care for boring dialogue so they made sure the violin sounds were louder each time a character spoke. I just wish they showed more scences of the characters walking around, feel like that was overall the only lacking part in the movie. 10/10.

Best pirate fiction movie so far!

I never imagined any studio could rival Disney's take on pirates-let alone outdo it-but this film pulls it off with style and swagger. From its richly detailed world to its unforgettable characters and thrilling set pieces, it delivers a bold and refreshing spin on the genre while honoring the spirit of high-seas adventure we all love.

This ain't it, chief.

One of the fattest nothing-burgers I've had the misfortune to see, I'm talking nutritional values in the negatives here. Some scenes, if not all, drag on and on for no reason other than to meet the required length for it to be a feature film.The one redeeming quality for me was Silas, the lad's quite handsome.
