A wonderful introduction

The story of this film really resonated with me. So much so, that I felt like I had to give this movie a full review.

To start off, I instantly connected with the character of Craig. I know how hard it can be to switch to a new home and adapt living to a new neighborhood, so I can always relate with the characters, who have gone through a similiar experience in movies (Fe. The character of Max in "Hocus Pocus" and Riley from "Inside Out").

And the overarching story of the film, involving Craig meeting his new friends (Kelsey and J. P.) who are ofc. Included in the show "Craig of the Creek" as well. And him having to come to terms with his new home and getting to first experience the Creek is just great to watch.

Also the pirates in this movie are really fun and the pirate captain Serena (who serves as the main antagonist of the film) gets a lot of nice character development in the film.

So yeah, I think it's fair to say I loved "Craig Before the Creek". It hit all the right notes for me. Not only will it please veteran fans of the series', but it also serves as an excellent entry point to the series' for newcomers.

Emotionally satisfying

The story of this film really resonated with me. And I felt like I wanted to give my review of this film.

I know how hard it can be to move to a new home and adapt living to a new neighborhood, so I can always relate with the characters, who have to go through that in films (Liloe the character of Max in "Hocus Pocus" and Roley in "Inside Out").

And the overarching story of the film, involving Craig meeting his new friends (Kelsey and J. Made me a fan of this world

I was interested to see the movie, because it takes place before the events of the series. So I thought it would be a good opportunity to get to know the world and the characters from the series even better.

And to my delight, I found myself loving this movie.

It had heart, humor and action in equal measure.

Craig Before the Creek does a great job introducing us to the characters from the show, like Craig himself, Kelsey, J. P. etc.

I also thought they did a great job with the antagonist in the film "Serena".

They added some real depth to her character and made her a lot more compelling than I thought she would be initially. And I even got teary eyed with her backstory towards the end of the film.

So yeah, this movie turned me into a certified "Craig of the Creek" fan. It works great as both a prequel and a standalone film.
