Plot summary

Shana's parents and sister are murdered after her father learns how to return to life after death. Shana is knowledgeable about said procedure, which is desired by foreign interests, who have even Shana's boyfriend helping them. Accounting for additional characters and footage is the fact that actress Shana is in the entertainment industry. So, Shana becomes both the pursuer - intent on avenging her family's deaths - and the pursued.

More bad than good and more good bad than good

"right after the new student body president was sworn in, the school went bankrupt, there were massive race riots and everyone was killed"- Not so much your typical fare than a gender bent tongue in cheek retelling of any number of Charles Bronson revenge movies. The most interesting thing about this movie is its strange fascination with satirizing anti communist propaganda while taking part in the same melodrama during the last throes of the USSR. The plot is entirely nonsensical and seems to have been changed substantially during production based on the liberal use of bad ADR. After forgetting about any nonsense like a hyperreality room or a key, getting captured 4 or 5 times and having everyone she loves get murdered the last 30 minutes is perhaps the most watchable but also miss the miserable charm of dan haggarty interposing himself to make a threesome, whatever those airhorn scenes were and an old man hog tying the legs of a man who was using a bathroom stall. I won't spoil it, but the ending for its build up was one of the worst, laziest cop outs imaginable. It's not very watchable even with a fast forward button. Even for bad movie night skip this uncomfortable mess for Repo Jake.

This is the Primer of bad movies

Before this movie, i judged bad movies on a single dimension but now, i realise that there is a new dimension of stupidity. Just like the number system has real and imaginary numbers, this movie shows you that there is a new way to understand movies. I have no idea what this dimension is and or understand its meaning. Because I have just watched this movie and have lost the few brain cells that i had left. If you turn away for 2 minutes, you will lose your idea of whats going on and will have to start the movie over again. This movie is so ambitious and complex that Peter Jackson turned it down because he wanted something easy.
