A really solid genre mash-up that has a lot to like

Following a string of gruesome deaths, a police force in a small town try to uncover the truth behind the stalkings while also dealing with a crazed vigilante gunning down other victims in town, forcing him to team up to take down both cases running wild in town and bring them to justice.This was a rather fun indie vigilante effort. Among the better elements here is the strong setup offering a fine chance to mix together it's dueling storyline into a solid time overall. The main setup involves the series of murders taking place along the city streets of the lonely killer going around taking out random people in quick, ambush attacks where the initial attacks are what catch the attention of the investigating officers who have it mixed up with the vigilante killings taking place at the same time. With the truth revealed later on about her setting out to avenge the murder of her family at their hands which is what caused everything to start. The interactions with the other seedy characters in the city and how they all work together to bring these factors together rather nicely. That leads into some rather fun moments here involving the quest from both sides to get to the bottom of the grisly slayings. With the detectives trying to solve not just the slasher case but also the vigilante closing in on the criminal gang running wild in the streets, the confrontations that arise here become quite a bit more frantic and intriguing as it goes along, featuring the series of shootouts with common thugs on the street, the confrontations in the park where she takes out the criminal gang's henchmen, and the big battle with the thugs in the park where it serves as a great revenge tactic on what happened to her fulfilling these different storyline tactics even with all this action and shootouts present, there's a wholly overwhelming sense of it's low-budget limitations that are present here being the main drawbacks on display.Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Language and Graphic Violence.

Action packed!

Great intro scene of a brutal murder when the vigilante saves a woman from her abductors. This is an intense film from start to finish. There are enough action scenes to keep the momentum flowing, which is great, so the viewer doesn't get bored. From cops trying to catch the bad guys, and a city in turmoil as there is a merciless serial killer on the loose the police have dubbed, The South Bay Slasher (played by Lawrence Waller,) as well as a vigilante with revenge on their mind, and a gang of thugs causing death and destruction. Alexis Walker (played by Linnea Swanson) is a force to be reckoned with as she chases down the bad guys who have murdered her family. Dante (played by the director himself, Ken Brewer) and his group of menacing criminals are losing members at an incredible rate, as the heroine carries out her revenge upon them. These ghastly scenes are well done and will certainly gratify horror and gore fans out there. I like Homeless Harry, he's everywhere, and probably knows more than anyone else. Detective Maddie "Schoey" Schoefield (played by Traci Burr) and Detective Shane Douglas (played by Doug Waugh) are hot on the trail of vigilante, as well as Dante's team. The end sequence when Alexis finally meets up with the major player in the game, Dante, a shootout ensues, whereby a lot of people die. Even the cops are in the middle of the chaos chasing down the criminals. I think Detective Rod Ramirez (played by Al Zuniga) and Detective Kurt O'Brien (played by Tom Grindle) are enjoying their time annihilating the perpetrators. The major twist at the end had me on the edge of my seat, wondering how this would end. Good turn of events.Overall, I highly recommend this film to watch because it is an indie film with a lot of the cast who might seem familiar to those who have been following these actors, producers, and the director. The storyline is easy enough to follow, even though in some places it becomes a little complex. There's quite a lot going on in the story arc, but I think everything is well contained, even though there are many characters to follow. The plot is solid, and it works. Some of the acting is overdramatized, however I think it fits with this type of film. I didn't feel any real chemistry between the cast; I would have liked to see them gel more. The scenes with the vigilante are a little drawn out, but in saying so the film is full on, so I guess these are moments of levity. The horror scenes are excellent, with the makeup making it look as authentic as possible. The use of physical props worked very well, in that the death scenes look believable. The cinematography is great, in that there are a variety of perspectives to carry the narrative. Get ready for a lot of gunfire, it's unrelenting. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Enjoyable movie.

I am a huge B-Movie fan. I love horror, action, and scifi movies. If you enjoy independent films, this is a fun movie to watch and you will not be disappointed. The movie flowed well from scene to scene. The acting and special effects are what you would expect from an independent film, and my opinion would call it fantastic. The movie reminded me of Death Wish, but with a female main character who is ready and able to take revenge. There are two words which really stuck out and were used frequently. The words were (b) ditch and (f) luck, it had me laughing with the high usage in the film. This is 100% a good watch.
