Plot summary

The DigiDestined go to a nearby hot springs theme park and everyone has a good time, but Joe doesn't show up because he wants to study for his exams. Another infected Digimon, Ogremon, attacks Odaiba. Gomamon runs away from home while Mimi faces problems with the other DigiDestined and her classmates because of her selfish ideas.

Mimi's Genius Idea For School, Hooters!!!

Digimon Adventure Tri: Chapter 2 - Determination Is a good chapter 2 story wise and character wise, but the animation budget died.Chapter 2 builds really well on the characters, We saw in chapter 1. Their friendship Dynamics are believable, It's nice to see them together being at spa talking to each other, they have believable friendships.The character conflict that are inside them are delivered well, and feel like good extensions of the original TV show. We still have the great concept that they have to tackle with themselves, for the Digimons to evolve.And the Digimon designs are still helicute.The biggest minus with the movie was the animation or the lack of it. There were so many times when me and my friend was just looking at the screen, cheering on when they finally move. It was so funny buttdistracting. When watching an animated movie I expect more out of the animation.On paper, it's a seven but the animation brings it down to a six. Would still recommend.

A little slow

Part 2 of tri somehow turns infected monsters taking over the world into a slice of life drama. The main conflict in this part isn't really even about the infected digimon and more about problems in the group of humans, while this is an important part of digimon they focus on it a little too much and not enough on the digimon. This movie does serve to make part 3 more impact, when watched together.
