Plot summary

Almost Ox-ellent

A very typical Hallmark movie. Two advertising executives that used to work for the same large advertising firm, H corporation, are now at different advertising firms.James is still at H corporation, but Nora left to go to the start up with Alexandra. Now they are both courting the same account, Darlington dairies, a premier ice cream company in Wisconsin.They both wind up volunteering to work a few days on the farm because an employee is out sick, and then spending a week working up to a big ice cream festival.I'm guessing the director and the actors have never really been to Wisconsin because none of the accents are correct. Most are southern accents that don't fit into Wisconsin dairy land at all. The other thing that seems weird is that all the cows look emaciated.Cute part of the movie is the client's granddaughter loves cow puns. And the puns continue through the end of the movie..

Generic Hallmark farm film

6.3 stars.I was not impressed by this particular Hallmark retelling of an overused story. It is so generic and outdated a theme and I don't have time for this drivel. I've been watching Hallmark movies nonstop for three years and they keep making the same old stuff that is no longer effective since 2018.I don't understand why they don't follow a romance blueprint that has proven to be successful and entertaining, instead they go back to the same old tropes. It must be fueled by an advertising scheme and I'm not interested in their pitch. First of all, ice cream sells itself, but a good romance movie requires finesse, and this film lacks. The dialogue is boring, the acting is average and this plot has been worn out. Gone is the chemistry, absent is the entertainment, lost is the fun. There is nothing positive to say about 'Double Scoop'.

So predictable & clichéd,just what you'd expect with a Hallmark production.Curious why they didn't actually film in Wisconsin,too expensive or what? At least it wasn't in yet again,Canada pretending to be in the states.Story synopsis: Two competing companies try to get a new account,but while helping the business who sells ice cream prepare for a festival(shocker)the competitors-well you can guess the rest.Acting was ok,found the(main)supporting cast annoying,cinematography was decent & music didn't overwhelm the talking As mentioned due to being way predictable could,fall asleep or fast forward & not miss out feel you missed anything relevant.Worth seeing once,but not something to rewatch.
