Plot summary

Fun Ride!

Read some of the negative reviews on this, but I enjoyed this flick - recommend you give it a chance.Considering the likely ultra-budget to produce a full-length feature like this, the camera work and acting was great. Plot was decent if you're into post-apocalyptical genres. Had some unexpected humor sprinkled in as well.They actually attracted some real talent for this - some of the cast have appeared in Law & Order and the successful series Dopesick.Fair Rain earned it's place on Amazon Prime. Looking forward to seeing what else this small production group produces and perhaps a Fair Rain 2!

So boring...

Another movie that I had never heard about. And stumbling upon it by random chance, of course I opted to check it out. I do believe in giving all movies a fair chance. And yeah, that means I sit through a lot of dubious movies. But I opted to give writer and director Cynthia A L Cherry's 2025 movie the benefit of the doubt.The narrative in the movie fell rather short of capturing my interest, and thus didn't really deliver much of any entertainment or enjoyment as I suffered through the sluggish storytelling. I have to say that I didn't ever really clearly understood the concept of the movie, and thus found it hard to get submerged into the narrative. So writer Cynthia A L Cherry didn't exactly conjure up something memorable here.I was not familiar with a single actress or actor on the cast list. And that is actually something that spoke in favor of the movie, as I do enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen when sitting down to watch a movie. The acting performances in "Fair Rain" were fair, despite the fact that the script was rubbish.Visually then you're not in for anything grand. Sure, the movie looks okay, but there wasn't really a grand display of anything on the screen.This movie was just too boring for me to finish, and I ended up tossing the towel in the ring after suffering through 43 painfully slow minutes of absolute boredom. And believe you me, I am not returning to attempt finish watching this dumpster fire of a movie. Nor is it a movie that I would recommend for anyone to waste their time, money or effort on.My rating of "Fair Rain" lands on a rather generous two out of ten stars.
