Those have to be the most annoying characters/actors I have seen in a long time: the crazy younger broher, the violent dealer uncle, the weeping alchoholic mother. Ho, and the good-guy-who-is born-in-a-criminal-family-and-wants-secretly-to-go-away-from-the-violence-but-can't because, loyalty and stuff, you know. In brief, a cheap copy of gangster movies from the 70s.
Plot summary
JP lives with his brother Vincent, his mother Joe and his girlfriend Mel in a small appartement of Verdun. Constantly walking a tightrope, JP tries to maintain a proper balance between the numerous needs of his family of which he feels responsible for, the collecting job he is doing with his brother and his involvements in his uncle’s drug cartel who he sees as a father figure.

Annoying
Hidden gem
This movie is a great character study examining the main character (JP) as he struggles to cope with the constraints of his dysfunctional, criminally involved family. His younger brother Vincent demands the attention of everyone around him, including the viewer, with his uncontrollable manic behavior that treads a fine line between affection and brutal violence. I really enjoyed the performances of all the actors in this chaotic movie. Reminded me a lot of the Safdie Bro's movies.
13 Days
13 Days into the new year and I can safely say this is the worse film I have seen so far.
Made it to 20 minutes and absolutely zero happens. Didn't see anyy shocking or thought provoking at all. Just a load of subclasses living the way they do.
Terrible acting.
