Stumbling upon the 2023 sci-fi movie "Finality of Dusk" by random luck here in 2025, I opted to check out what director Madison Thomas had to offer, solely because it was a movie that I had neither heard about nor watched. So I virtually didn't know what I was in for here, aside from whatever little information was provided by the movie's synopsis.Writers Rebecca Gibson, Madison Thomas and Katarina Ziervogel put together an incredibly slow paced and uneventful script. There was simply nothing interesting happening throughout the course of the movie, aside from people walking around with hazmat masks and having to change filters every now and again. Talk about a swing and a miss of a storyline, if there ever was one.Needless to say that I was, of course, not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. And that certainly isn't a bad thing, as I do enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen. The acting performances were, well I would like to say fair, but in all honesty I cannot, because the actors and actresses virtually had nothing to work with in terms of script, dialogue and character gallery.This movie was a boring snoozefest, and it is most definitely not a movie that I would recommend anyone to waste 98 minutes on watching. Some of us literally suffered through this travesty of an ordeal, so you don't have to; you're quite welcome.My rating of director Madison Thomas's 2023 movie "Finality of Dusk" lands on a most generous two out of ten stars.
