Plot summary

takes a weird turn

NBA player Tony Greene (Stephen Bishop) retires after his wife's murder during a break-in. He falls into depression and alcoholism. He starts coaching a college women's basketball team. Struggling student Destiny (Raquel Justice) hustles at the neighborhood court.This is a Tubi indie. Raven Magwood Goodson's directorial debut and it does feel like it at times. This movie follows the standard formula deliberately for the first half and I start getting antsy. As for the basketball montages, they are not that compelling. Then the movie takes a weird random coincidental turn. It may work if the movie sets up this turn. As it stands, I don't think that it works.
