Interesting Weird West film (i.e. western horror mash-up) had potential, but instead becomes laughably bad. Wesley Snipes plays a cursed gunman who's victims come back as the undead. Snipes is solid as the strong silent gunslinger (basically Blade in a duster), and at times the film has strong visuals, with bright incongruous colors that echo Jodorowsky's "El Topo," so I'll give the filmmakers credit for trying to do something original, but overall this attempt at a genre mash-up comes off as unintentionally laughable. While this film wanted to be "Into the Badlands" it ended up being closer to the "Wild Wild West" movie remake. Overall, this film is only for hardcore Snipes fans. Patrick Bergin and professional wrestler Diamond Dallas Page also appear in this disappointment. FUN FACT! "Gallowswalkers" was originally set to be filmed back in 2005 as "The Wretched" with Chow Yun-Fat in the lead!

This movie is something else. I started watching this movie thinking it was a very popular Hollywood flick. HA! Don't get me wrong, the movie IS entertaining. But for different reasons than being a good movie. The action scenes make no sense, and they remind me of WWE shows. The main character is portrayed as the best gunman is possibly all of history and he become so in only 5 (ish) years without a mentor? Right. The gore is fine, but sometimes just ridiculous. I think the part of the movie where the guy hides as a goat was where I figured out how horrible it all really was. How did he get there? How could anyone mistake a man for a goat? I am in awe at the director and producers for letting that fight scene slide through. Sure, there is suddenly a guy on barn! I think they either cut out 90% of the explanation or they just didn't care and thought the audience wouldn't care either.

The costumes for the most part are pretty good, particularly the skinless dude. Wrong color, but still nicely detailed enough.

I would say that the only well acted scene would be the rape scene. At least the audience can feel anguish for her character. The rest of the movie is more humorous than dramatic.

I finished the movie and I didn't regret seeing it. If anything, you get to see some lovely boobs. I suggest it is worth watching. But it is certainly not worth paying for.

Gallowwalkers is a bizarre, unique & pretty awesome western horror with the great old school action star Wesley Snipes as Aman, a gun slinging hunter of the demonic dead.

Everything about this unique film screams 80's & 90's like a mix of Albert Pyun's Cyborg, Wesley Snipes' Blade & John Carpenter's Vampires & other elements of old school westerns. This western horror has a mystical supernatural vibe that i loved. In this harsh Frontier the dead don't stay dead!!! There no reason for this, it's a mystical mystery & i liked that, no explanation means it feels creepy. The lonely wide open desert landscapes are filmed beautifully, great cinematography & a weird & wonderful score. I was so impressed by this little unheard of straight-to-dvd movie. All the sets & production design looked perfect & the gun fights are bloody & practical. Gallowwalkers is bound to become a Cult Classic later on.

I've always liked Snipes since the 90's with films like Passenger 57, Murder at 1600, Demolition Man, Money Train, Blade & Blade 2, New Jack City, Boiling Point, Drop Zone & more. I even followed his later career in the low-budget DTV market ,but not all was good but a few gems like The Contractor, Game of Death & this one.

Wesley Snipes is quietly cool as the desert wondering warrior out for vengeance against a group of evil rapists that hurt the love of his life. There's a real passionate theme here of love & pain & broken-hearted vengeance. Wouldn't you hunt down the ones who raped your lady? Snipes oozes a brooding & deadly vibe & looks awesome in a fantastic costume.

The Gallowwalkers are the undead that are slaughtering there way through the western land & skinning their victims to wear their skins as a sick costume to protect them from the burning sun. The demonic zombie mutants look Amazing!!! Excellent old school 80's practical make-up FX. I was so impressive with the look of the Gallowwalkers & their costumes & the action sequences are so well done that the film doesn't ever feel low-budget.

The cast are all great (i don't know them from anything else) but it's definitely Snipes that is the best character on screen but each of the ensemble cast help make the movie damn good. Kevin Howarth is very good as the creepy leader of the Gallowwalkers called Kansa & Riley Smith is very good as Snipes young gun slinging sidekick named Fabulos & Tanit Phoenix is decent as a prostitute on the run named Angel & Simona Brhlikova is great as Kiss Cut, partner of the Gallowwalkers evil leader kansa & Jonathan Garcia was good as evil member Slip Knot & Dallas Page was really creepily affective as the big muscle of the Gallowwalkers called SkullBucket & a great Jenny Gago as The Mistress, a mother like figure to our mystical hero.

Henner Hofmann done the beautiful cinematography & Stephen Warbeck & Andy Glen done the Awesome music score, all elements that made the film so damn good.
