Needless to say that this 2017 short film was not one I had heard about prior to sitting down to watch it. But with it being a zombie movie, of sorts, that I hadn't already seen, and given my love of all things zombie, of course I needed no persuasion to watch this.The storyline was a swing and a miss in terms of entertaining me, and I ended up with my phone in my hand. So yeah, writer and director Sean Smith didn't exactly pen down something memorable, entertaining or grand here.Of course I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list, as this was a home-made project. The acting performances were okay, but nothing noteworthy, mentionable or memorable.The movie was frightfully devoid of zombies. Which was odd, given the movie's title and all.This was a low budget, home-made short film project. Sure, it was made with some talent and a lot of spirit.I would not recommend you to waste 30 minutes on watching this 2017 short film. It just simply wasn't worth the effort.My rating of writer and director Sean Smith's 2017 short film "Gangsters and Zombies" lands on a generous one out of ten stars.
