Plot summary

After being possessed by the ghost of vengeful hitman Kudo, college student Fumika Matsuoka agrees to help him finish his quest for revenge from beyond the grave.

Ghost in the bullet shell!

Mr. Kudo is an hitman who gets ambushed by the same people he works for and is killed. Fumika Matsuoka is an ordinary college student, bored out of her life and a date with an influencer turns awful. Her only friend is Maho Iida and one day after walking back, Fumika stumbles across a bullet shell casing. She keeps it, only to have Mr. Kudo posses her. Being the only one to be able to see him, she allows to be possessed by him whenever situation is in her favor. Enter Mr. Kagehara who believes in her situation but also let other hitmen from their organization to go after her. Now, Fumika must allow Mr. Kudo to possess her, not just for her survival but also to let him have his revenge.It was a fun concept, having a tough hitman who had a change of heart towards his final moments to end up possessing a bored out college girl. To see him get protective of her and use his skills to do good deeds through her was entertaining, mainly due to the performance of Akari Takaishi. The film remained it's best when Akari's Fumika gets to play the dual personalities as both college girl and the hitman, which she aced. The film suffered when the entire final act turned into one lengthy action scene and the antagonist was painfully weak. The final act makes way for Mr. Kudo to lead the action whereas the need was for Fumika's dual act to be further explored. The action scene itself is well executed but doesn't help elevate the writing. The film could have been far better one with a proper arc for the villain and more of Fumika in the final act.

A Perfect 10. If you like action flicks, this is one of the best

A girl who gets possessed by the ghost of a hitman, and when she holds conversations with him, she's seen as a weird freak who's maybe on drugs because she's holding conversations with herself. That's the comedy.The action sequences are solid, and it binds with the comedy and creates an environment that's not often seen in cinema. It's so refreshing and fun that you'll feel you want to share this film with everyone anytime you talk about it.This is a movie where you'll feel it was time well spent, and you'll want to watch it more than once. You'll also want to tell others to watch it if they ever get the chance.It's truly cinema gold. Definitely a movie you'll want to watch multiple times as the years pass.This is a feel-good action movie, and we need more of these. A LOT more of these.Highly, highly recommended!
