Had potential, failed
Leave well enough alone
A trio of young ghost hunting student programmers Brian (Juan Cruz Rolla Knight), Alice (Laura Casale) and Sysop (Zhongo Li Zhang) find an abandoned technology while investigating a factory that was the scene of a deadly fire. The piece of equipment found is meant to detect supernatural presence.
The tech nerds maybe by pure accident have reverse engineered the technology to create an app for their phones that will allow them to actually see ghosts. Alice tests in her apartment and finds a benign spirit. But when the group returns to the destroyed factory, they have endangered their own lives. There are ghosts that are far from harmless that seem not very happy to be found.
Garbage
"It was a first time for them, so no negative feedback!"
"It wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad, either."
"Clearly it was low budget."
Yes, yes, all of the typical butthurt fake reviews from select cast and crew members. None by any who were paid to give a positive review, because the producers certainly couldn't afford it.
This had to have been made by tech nerds, for tech nerds, to try and make everyone think that tech nerds are actually really cool, and not complete losers. The acting is terrible, the plot makes no sense, the effects and attempted scares are cheap and predictable, and all of the characters are awful people. If you can relate to them, you need to reflect on your life.
The director seemed to ban three things from this movie: Sense, talent, and masculinity.
