When you have a very limited budget, you'd better concentrate on hiring a fine cast, and if you have a fine cast it then all comes down to your script and directing prowess.
It is difficult to like the characters here, they are either manic depressive or funny but unreliable loonies, and the story is not that engaging. A great main character could turn the most common of stories into a spellbinding fairy tale, or you could have a transparent hero beamed up by a fantastic story. But in this little indie flick you got the very lack of creative talent that is used as laughing stock in the beginning.
All in all this looks like an average cinema student project, except that this student had the right connections to make it happen and make the whole world able to see how off the mark he is.

Wannabe manic-depressive Amélie
A cute, and quirky story
Solid overall work from the production team. This movie has many poignant and meaningful moments that make all of the characters delightful. The cuts and fade to blacks are sometimes a little abrupt and awkward, and some of the pauses between lines a little too long; however, if you are looking for a heartfelt emotional piece, you will find nothing but that in this work.
a Sweet Natured RomCom
I enjoyed this film. The characters are decent humans, trying to overcome their flaws in a world that doesn't care, with people who might make them strive for being even better. Lizzie Kehoe as Claire is a joy. Her work is imminently watchable. Thomas Vieljeux also does an excellent job of portraying a man who is a little lost, but still does his best, despite having to give up on his dreams. In spite of being a lower budget film, solid writing elevates the story as does most of the acting and direction. This one could have benefitted from a few trims in the editing room, but the genuine laughs more than make up for that. Furthermore, the ending reflected the realities of loving someone, even though things between men and women often become difficult. There were a few points in the film that surprised me (in a good way) with unexpected laughs and zigs where I thought the story would zag. I wish Prime had half ratings, because I'd rate this one at 3.5 stars. An overall enjoyable night at the movies!
