Furthermore, every Muslim is taught from childhood that to escape grave torture, one should memorize Sura Mulk from the Holy Quran, practice charity, prayers, fasting, and show empathy towards all creations.

How did the lead character never learn these teachings and instead believe that self-detonation was the only way to escape grave torture?
