Every game's plot was attempted to be divided into thirty-minute segments. You can imagine how severely it was damaged, given that the games itself. For almost a minute, the pivotal arena battles from the games are displayed only as flashbacks. After the final sequence of "G. U. Rebirth," the tale itself deviates from the game. From this point on, the story revolves around Atolis and Ovan's parts; Sakaki and other characters who were part of the story will not be mentioned.

I thought we would receive more awesome remixes after hearing the "Gentle Hands" remix of the trailer, but maybe I was hoping for too much. Even nonetheless, the soundtrack is perfect, especially for the fighting scenes.

.Hack Trilogy was quite different from the games, but I think it was done well. I had to pay good money and wait some time for this movie to come to me from Japan but as a die hard .Hack fan it was worth it. They changed a lot in the movie, but they had no choice, it was three 20 hour games in a 2 hour movie. If you are just stumbling across this movie and have never heard of .Hack, you will not like it. But if you are a returning fan excited to see that a movie was made, I think you will enjoy it. The movie follows the journey of Haseo, a player in an MMORPG called The World. People in this world have been going into comas in real life after being killed in game by something called Tri-Edge. One of Haseo's closest friends Shino has been put into a coma so Haseo sets out to find a cure, to discover what happened, and eventually fight for his own survival.
