Ryan Francis plays Noah Davis in Hands off My Father, and really, Lifetime movies are what they are, and they're never going to win Emmys, but so what, they are a decent way to pass the time, identify the tropes, the cliches, the predictable twists. I'm not kidding, but Ryan Francis has a passing resemblance to a v.p. Candidate, with beard and all, and I'm not kidding, but Francis could easily play the candidate in a biopic. Anyway, Meghan Carrasquillo sizzles the screen as femme fatale Alyssa Winters, and I think there should be more Lifetime movies featuring Carrasquillo who can certainly liven the screen.

Poison Ivy and Fatal Attraction
another predicatble crime film
Noah and Christina are living a somewhat happy life. Though the two seem seperated but noah wants to get back together to have a jogging buddy. Their daughter christina is supposed to be sixteen I believe or atleast she was ten years ago and for some reason she decides to interview for a roomate.cue roomate alyssa who also looks a lot olde than the character she is playing. She instantly has the hots for noah and goes out of her way to get herself in his calvins. All the while christina has no idea of the past this woman leads and who she really is. Theres minimal action here and overall her affair to die for is a predictable hot mess with subpar acting but the actors still did their best with the characters they have been given.
The last 20 minutes sucked - aka "An Affair To Die For"
I was enjoying this film until the last 20 minutes when it totally went off the rails. It was the scene where Marcus' doctor friend/roommate Craig Porter stabs Liz in a mugging while wearing a hoodie. As if. Message: Black men are thugs even if they are doctors. And no doctor would jeopardise their career and open themselves up to blackmail just at the request of some random psycho.
I liked the film because Alyssa's machinations were cleverly done, and the dialogue & acting was spot on and kind of refreshing - until it wasn't. But Noah sleeping with Alyssa was just not realistic, even if he was drunk.
I loved when Alyssa told Noah she was pregnant & he was like: "No you're not! It's only been a few days, you psycho." Hilarious.
I loved Logan Mariner as Christina Davis and Jon Brown as Marcus Jackson. They were my favourite characters and were cute & charming in their scenes. If it wasn't for the last 20 minutes I would've given this film an 8.
