Plot summary

1986 FIFA World Cup Official Film. Mexico had just recovered from a devastating earthquake, but the nation put on a great tournament and Argentina, inspired by Maradona, justified "favourite" status. Love it

I love the look, feel and point of view in these official WC-movies! You get a different and closer perspective, more like the players, when the camera angles is down by the pitch. Its tense and its good. And, of course, this film has some of the most iconic goals ever in soccer history. And the film gives me the feeling, why I started to love soccer in the years following 86 :)

Goal!

So you want to know what is soccer all about? This movie is an example of how a sport can be showed at his peak. A delight, from the beginning to the end. The players are the stars, and the movie shows how they fight, run, and suffer, playing the most popular sport on Earth. And the figure of Maradona, the hero, passing as a lighting, at his peak of talent...8/10
