Terrible movie but turns into cheesy cultish goodness
Don't expect too much.
A low budget movie, not a bad sound track, but weak acting and effects lets it down. Also the character in the cowboy hat has an amusing resemblance to Gary Glitter from the 70's british rock scene, it's an unfortunate look for him!
It's one of those movies that intrigues, you have to watch it despite the shortfalls to find out what happens.
Filmed in the Highlands of Scotland, it's a great advertisement for the beautiful landscape up there and, surprisingly, the weather appeared to be kind during the shoot.
The lodge location is available to hire should you want to experience the wilderness of the Highlands.
Overall, if you have nothing else worth watching this is worth a try, just don't expect a blockbuster.
Bucket. Now.
The film opens by showing us the antagonist (Marta Svetek) bleeding a victim. We know this is a cult from the masks and a buck skull on a tree. We then shift to our final girl Erin (Hannaj Bang Bendz) the title girl. We later discover she is on rage control medication. She was an abduction victim and tortured for 14 years. She is going to meet her boyfriend Adam's (Derek Nelson) parents. They meet up with his brother Michael (Luke Aquilina) and his gold digger girlfriend du jour Sarah (Antonia Whillans). The trip will take a day and a half which is odd for Scotland which is 274 miles across at its widest point. As you might guess the two plots come together as they plan to turn the girls into victims, harvesting them for their youth making adrenachrome. Erin who has gone to the Uma Thurman School of Fighting has a few surprises for them.
PLOT SPOILER. The film actually has no surprises. Escape. Recapture. Escape. Final one-on-one protagonist/antagonist fight. It can't be any different. Decent for the genre.
