Aggressive yelling not necessary for comedy.

Rogan consistently has good material, but the extremely aggressive yelling is sorta discomfiting. And no doubt he would yell at me for saying this, something like, "Who #@$& cares, if you can't handle me getting loud over this, then do not effing watch me!"Ironically, I am a lot like him in that I get really animated whenever I talk, almost always, about anything. And my friends and strangers alike mistake this for me being upset, and I often get, "Why are you yelling? I'm right here!" and "Lower your voice, for godsakes!" But I'm not hypocritical. I would rate any special or show I did a few points lower if I couldn't contain my unnecessary high decibels!Some excellent bits on Bigfoot, weed, and why we should be paranoid (the sun!). Entertaining imitations of vegans- not all of them, that ten percent that shoves it in everyone else's faces and flaunts it like a trophy that makes them better than everyone else- we all know them! Truths be told regarding the difference between women knowing gay guys- friends, and men knowing lesbians- "hmmm, only because you haven't had this glorious dick in you!". Obligatory "Fear Factor" shout-out.Good show, if only tuned down several notches.

Stoner humor.

The first stand-up comedy I saw from him was Joe Rogan: Live from 2006. That show was filmed badly but I did enjoy his performance nonetheless. In Rocky Mountain High the filming improved a lot and looks much more professional. Like the first show I watched it starts a bit slow, but it gets much better towards the end. I think Joe Rogan needs a little warm-up and once he's at his speed he's unstoppable. His jokes are never obvious, it's rarely what you think it will be. He has a broad and vivid imagination, must think a lot about the essential things of life when he's stoned and comes up with funny stories. I enjoyed Rocky Mountain High even more than the first show but I get it that it's not for everyone. Not everyone has the same sense of humor and that's fine. If you didn't like him before you won't like him now, but I do and I will definitely watch his other stand-up comedies.
