Some funny people

Judith Lucy hosts this one-off special of the comedy festival in Canada. Featuring snippets of gigs from a wide variety of comics, we enjoy Lucy's dry, laconic, yet strangely sympathetic presence as she schmoozes with the more famous artistes featured after and before gigs. Almost expected Jimeoin to turn up!

Some very good comics, but too many old clips.

Here was a show that was heavily advertised but turned out to be a waste of an hour. There were some very good comics on this show, but for the most part, the show was marred by the 60 minute length - it could have been shortened to 30 min.Part of the show had Judith Lucy interviewing Australian comedians at the Montreal Comedy Festival with the rest of the show loaded with several old and rehashed clips to flesh out the hour. The part with Fiona O'Loughlin was funny. Funniest was Joe Avati. Is Joe Avati really a huge "Australian" act in Canada? I have never heard of him before Judith had interviewed him. Maybe next time they'll make this a 30 min show and keep it fresh rather than dredging up old clips from past Montreal Comedy Festivals - there were some clips that were 2-3 years old!!Judith is as funny as ever - still the smart alec Aussie with a quick wit.
