What was this supposed to be

First off clearly this is not good. No way around that. The highlight here is the opening credits. The music totally has you pumped up and then its all nothing from there on out. Literally the high point is the opening credits.

What went wrong here.. well, the cast looked proper. They cast them ok. The tough gangster mobster dudes fit in. They can't act but they should not have to act. See this was supposed to be a mobster action fighting movie... What it turned out to be was stupid dialogue (remember the part about acting) and it buried itself. It tried to be too smart for its own good and collapsed hard.

You have a bunch of muscled up angry looking dudes and what do you do with them.. well, have them play dialogue instead of punching stuff. Total fail and waste of your time.

2\10 because i enjoy horrible dialogue from body builders.

This movie makes me embarrassed to be an Australian

Where to start. The writing is terrible, either written by someone really old and out of the loop or like that school nerd in high school writing about picking up women, doesn't have a clue! Tried very hard to have "cool" dialogue it missed the mark and was so bad it was cringe worthy. Instead of showcasing the Australian culture that is actually cool, they miss the mark again and use Australian actors with really bad American accents and the character monologues sound like an 80's cheesy radio dj with a slow, monotoned voice - again like your grandfather was asked to make his interpretation of cool. The plot tries to be clever by copying many different ideas and executed the story so predictable it left me shaking my head and wondering why the writer didn't dig a little deeper. The writer could have used the concept for an unpredictable twist at the end but instead used lazy writing, only that of someone not very worldly, with a huge ego and bad taste. This movie was written by Quinton Tarrintino, the one you receive when you order a script from "wish".

So Much Wasted Potential

I really wanted to like this film. It had a great premise, was shot in my hometown (so I got to see quite a few local places I recognised) and featured some great Aussie actors from our tv screens over the past 10 years. But it just didn't make sense.

I feel it would have been much better had the way it was told been more straightforward with a twist at the end explaining the multiple personality thing (like in Identity). Having the story told to the cops in a flashback/voiceover type of way just removed all tension because you already knew most of what was going on. Scenes like the driver getting away from the cops when he's driving a sports car with a fancy paint job and personalised plates just didn't seem likely. It felt like another one of these movies where the director wants to get noticed early on in their career so they do weird things to get noticed instead of just making a decent straight forward film. With a runtime of 80 minutes it actually seemed to drag on a bit and there was a distinct lack of action considering the movie poster.
