I think this documentary is only for Katy Perry fans, no one else!

First of all, I have to admit I'm not a fan of Katy Perry and I don't listen to her music. Actually, I don't know the reason why I decided to watch it, it was probably just because I would like to know more things about Katy's life. Eventually, this documentary wasn't exactly about her life, because most of the time she was talking about her concerts, which was kinda boring. Gladly, the duration of the documentary wasn't too long, but still it was kinda boring sometimes. Overall, "Katy Perry: Getting Intimate" was an average documentary about Katy's life and music career, it was kinda interesting and boring at the same time, but I'm not sure if I would recommend it to my friends...

Uplifting fun

The movie contains a very revealing and surprising story about a genuinely gifted songwriter breaking out of her strict religious upbringing and rising to the very highest peak of stardom. I am not a teenager, and I don't really listen to Top-Hit radio, but you cannot fail to like Katy's music, you hear it everywhere. I have a huge respect for what she has done with her career, and I was totally engulfed by her story. I felt it wasn't just to show how famous she is, I think people look up to Katy Perry because her personality is just so likable, maybe the movie makes her a little too likable, but you can see exactly why she's considered such a role model. I would have loved it even more if it featured her concerts but fans will have to wait for the Prismatic tour live DVD for that. It does show some very funny back stage scenes. Who knew that Katy liked Prince Harry? Great entertainment about a true American sweetheart.
