Utter trash

I can't believe these people are actors! Their performance was one of the worst things I've seen on tv my whole life. The storyline doesn't have a logical flow or credibility. It is a pointless movie and a waste of time for any viewer. Honestly, the movies today are so disappointing I see no point in watching most of them.To sum up, watch this thrash only if you suffer from severe insomnia and can't handle it anymore. You'll fall asleep for sure.

When mom goes off the deep end...

When I stumbled upon this 2025 drama thriller, I must admit that I wasn't exactly harboring the biggest of expectations, as the movie's title and synopsis just didn't really scream top notch movie. But still, since it was a movie that I had neither seen before, nor actually ever heard about, of course I opted to give the movie a fair chance.Writers Jane Espenson and Christina Welsh put together a pretty straightforward script and storyline. It was a watchable movie, sure, but also sort of generic in a sense. It is a formulaic storyline about a maniacal and manipulative mom going off the deep end in a deranged effort to get the best for her daughter and vicariously living her life through the life of her daughter.The scene where the mom was speeding up to the side of the boy on the bike was just hilariously bad. Couldn't the kid simply have made a turn on the bike and get out of the middle of the road? It made zero sense to continue on straight ahead.Of the entire cast ensemble, I was only familiar with actress Melissa Joan Hart. In all fairness, then I will say that the acting performances in the movie were adequate. It was actually fun to see Melissas Joan Hart in a role such as she had in this movie, and she pulled it off quite well.Hardly a movie that you will watch more than once, though it was watchable for what it was the first time around.My rating of director Lee Gabiana's 2025 drama thriller "Killing the Competition" lands on a five out of ten stars.
