With low expectations and not being familiar with the first film (having not heard of it prior but noticing that this film has two different titles- Lake Fear 2: The Swamp, and The Everglades Killings).
With a majority cast of lesser known actors with very little acting experience (many of them seem to be non actors with this film being their first role- perhaps thete were simply friends of the writers/director or got hired on location).
There is definitely an amateur feel to this film which can work in its favour as it seems like there wasn't much of a dialogue script. A main problem is there are too many characters and the film is short so it's difficult to fully build each one. Of course the main attraction is the skin shown (many women in bikinis, a wet t-shirt contest early on, one character in a full frontal shower scene, a brief shadowed sex scene).
Overall it is predictable with the killings but there wasn't much explanation of why the killers were killing (what was their motive?). The very end scene is quite graphic and captivatingly dark and gruesome. Looked very legit with its special effects. This film isn't great but also watchable enough. Don't expect anything great or high quality.
Plot summary
It's March in South Florida. The beach towns are flush with young people looking for action and excitement. For one unlucky group of thrill-seeking spring breakers, their adventure leads to the black waters of the Florida Everglades - a place with mosquitoes the size of birds, snakes as long as school buses and tens of thousands of flesh-ripping alligators. But beyond the scope of the traditional predators famous for keeping the glades wild is another phenomenon - one with two legs and an insatiable thirst for killing.

Sleazy spring breakers style indie slasher
Fun piece of horror schlock
A rowdy group of spring breakers run afoul of vicious redneck psychos in the Florida everglades. Okay, the skimpy plot ain't much, but fortunately director Ben Wilder certainly delivers the satisfying lowdown trashy goods: We've got oodles of in-your-face graphic gore, equally explicit and abundant gratuitous female nudity, a grim tone, sexy babes in skimpy bikinis, twerking hotties, a wet t-shirt contest, brutal murders, one poor guy gets savagely sodomized by an evil hick, and a right-on nasty'n'nihilistic ending. 80's scream Linnea Quigley has a cool cameo as a bartender while foxy porn starlet Kelsi Monroe can be seen as one of the participants in the wet t-shirt contest. Yes, it's crass junk, but at least this movie is well aware that it's crass junk and happily wallows in its own trashiness, so fans of sleazy grindhouse-style horror fare ought to enjoy it.
