decent end for the trilogy

I would say that this series probably didnt need to be a trilogy but its appreciated to get an actual end instead of things being left in limbo. Lino once again is trying to finnaly track down his brothers murder and we start with how the last film left off but with a little action sequance involving a granade at the star which I liked. No one told him his car was trashed and so he has a new one made that he then wreaks during yet another car chase. I liked the pickup truck after though but this chase was less enjoyable compared to the last film. Still good action though and acting and a decent end to the trilogy.

Falls short of its predecessors.

It's been two years since Areski abandoned his family, and started a new life in Germany under a new identity. However, his past soon catches up with him and Areski is on the run again, but now he wants to go back to his family in France. After three months as a prisoner, Lino is returned to France and handed to corrupt Narcotics Commander Alexander Resz. We've heard about Resz in the previous films but this is the first time we get to meet him. In 'Lost Bullet 2' it was revealed Marco and Areski answered to Resz. Resz is in line for a big promotion and he wants to tie up loose ends, so his henchmen soon go after Alvaro, Areski and Lino.Through flashbacks, we also go back to the beginning, when Charas put together his team and Marco and Areski started working for Resz. This is a story I believe we didn't really need. Marco and Areski were already identified as rogue cops and I feel it wasn't necessary to provide us with all the intricate details. There once again are plenty of car chases and awesome crashes to keep the action junkies entertained, but I was disappointed in the film for various reasons. Firstly, Lino takes a bit of a back seat in this installment, which is a pity and the biggest letdown. He was determined and unstoppable in 'Lost Bullet 2' but this determination somehow lacked in this installment. In many ways it also felt as if they were going for a more American approach - possibly to try and reach a wider audience. It just didn't feel as convincing and original as the first two films. Why change a recipe that works? In 'Lost Bullet 2' Lino avenged Marco. I was looking forward to Lino avenging Areski in the final installment, but it didn't quite play out they way I was hoping for. The film even makes us want to root for Areski and he suddenly is not the antagonist he was in 'Lost Bullet'. We have a new villain in the form of Resz.'Last Bullet' concludes the story, as the title indicates. While it is still a good film in its own right, it just wasn't as thrilling or captivating as its predecessors, and I doubt I'll give this a repeat viewing.

Nice finale

There are some movies that really don't follow the paint by numbers method of creativity and this series is one of them. It's just a different sort of approach to action, car chase and our unlikely hero. When I watched the first movie, ten minutes in I remember thinking "what the hell is ths madness!" and teetered on the edge of switching off. But I didn't. Instead I found myself enjoying the ride and being entertained by what was unforlding on screen. Its actually quite strange because it is way more enjoyable than it should be for whats on offer. Which is to say, they've really maximised the good aspects of these movies. That hasn't really changed, not in the second movie, and not in this one. The producers and director have stayed true to what works from the first movie, and given us to good follow ups in the saga that plays out almost like a TV mini series. It's very French, very culturally different from what you get from Hollywood, but thats part of its charm. I throws the old well used tropes out the window and does its own thing.Defintely worth the watch. I'm going to be somwhat generous with my score, with 7 rather than 6 becasue... its just a welcome change from the norm.
