Sadie Smith (Jenna Dewan) moves to a small New Hampshire town to start a dance and fitness studio with a massage parlor in the back. The movie opens with the studio being raided and her being arrested. Her saloon neighbor April Macintosh (Jennifer Irwin) apologizes. April is a friend, her first client, and her landlord. Carol Martin is the town's gossipy reporter.
The story is laid out by the thirty minute mark. This would work better with more irreverence. This should start with April as the lead. Jennifer Irwin is the best actor in the cast anyways and she's hilarious. They need to use this strength and make this a comedy. Sadly, this is airing on Lifetime and there is no room for outside-the-box thinking. This should be a black comedy. It's just not for Lifetime and April's moral whiplash really set my head spinning.
