The film is kinda cool, there are scenes that somehow touched the roots of Filipino audiences if I may say. I didn't cry like the most of viewers did. The scene with Iza is something very significant for me , it pierce my heart seeing someone you trusted betrays you despite if everything you've done for them. That scene in particular has given me deeper connection to the overall experience to the film but the hopes and the promise of future is still there. The acting of the kid is kinda awesome but at some point the way he acted , He seems to have so much experiences and at the same time the maturity of the character the way of delivery is something amazing.

Emotional Manipulation Wrapped in a Flawed Plot
Lolo and Kid
Pretty good
The film has some very touching moments and delivers a powerful impact by the end. It's well shot, with good acting and a straightforward story. Some viewers might struggle with the morality of Lolo teaching the child to steal, but the film is really about a selfish, depressed, and lonely man and his deep bond with the kid. Lolo grapples with his desire to maintain his relationship with the kid while also trying to do what's right for him. This is certainly shown as his demeanor changes through the different cons. Ultimately, he sacrifices his relationship to give the kid a better life, creating a good redemption arc for the character. To the best of my knowledge, the film doesn't attempt to paint the picture that what Lolo is doing is right and that's important to consider when thinking about the film. Overall, to me, it's a solid movie.
