Somewhat stereotypical and generic...

Oh great, another movie from Maverick Entertainment. As soon as I saw that ethereal horse galloping across the screen, I have to admit that my expectations to the movie disappeared. Maverick Entertainment isn't exactly known for their stellar movies. But I still opted to watch the 2019 drama titled "Looking in the Mirror" as it was a movie that I hadn't already seen.Writers Roslyn Ingram and Monica Mikell put together a straightforward script and storyline. It was somewhat generic and stereotypical, I have to point that out. It was watchable for what it was, but don't get your hopes up. And it was just fabulous when the grandmother drew a gun on her grandchildren. Seriously? Writers Roslyn Ingram and Monica Mikell actually went there with the narrative.Of the entire cast ensemble, I was only familiar with Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and he was hardly in the movie at all. The acting performances were for the most parts actually fair, nothing great or outstanding, but fair enough for what it was.Now, I have to say that this movie was actually not too bad, taking into consideration that it was a movie from Maverick Entertainment. I am not saying that "Looking in the Mirror" is a great movie neither, but it was actually better than most of the questionable movies that Maverick Entertainment has been spewing out.Hardly a movie that warrants more than a single viewing, providing you last through the entire movie the first time around. Nor is it a movie that I would recommend for you to rush out and get to watch.My rating of directors Derrick Hammond and James Dibz Hunter's 2019 movie "Looking in the Mirror" lands on a very, very generous four out of ten stars.

Don't waste your time

Oh my god this movie sucks sooooo bad. It was all over the place! Her husband put on a wire at the end but it didn't go anywhere after that.. the movie just ended lol. I'll give it one star b/c it's based on a true story.
