Plot summary

Not what I expected

I was hoping for more of how four children survived four days in the rainforest. Very little of that mostly just the drama between the stepdad and the mother's family very disappointing. Nothing on how they survived what they did to survive day and day out how badly any of them were wounded or hurt. It was literally a whole bunch of drama. I felt like there was a lot that was unexplained, even with all the story drama in the story and it was upsetting that there seem to be a lot of just blatant Child, abuse, and domestic abuse, and we're hearing from the guy who committed this.

Fascinating Story of Survival and Culture

National Geographic did an excellent job bringing this incredible story to life. The mix of animation with recreations was an effective and respectful way to show the children's journey. I especially appreciated the insight into the cultural traditions of the Colombian Indigenous community and the unique challenges of working alongside the military. A fascinating, powerful story of resilience and cooperation - well worth watching.
