Plot summary

At a secluded summer camp, timid and introverted 12-year-old Morgan is thrust into a waking nightmare when a once-fabled campfire tale becomes real. As a mysterious figure descends upon the camp, Morgan and his newfound friends must embark on a treacherous journey and uncover a sinister reality buried beneath the surface.

Had the potential to be good but missed the mark

I suppose the overall story of this movie is good. The problem for me is that it takes way too long to get to the point. Storywise, nothing really interesting happens until the second half of the movie. The first half is boring. If the first half were cut out, the second half might actually be good as a short film. I think Marshmallow would've been so much better if the last scene of the movie was the focus of the story. To me, the last 10 minutes of the movie were the best part but not enough to recommend it. I give this movie a 5.4 so I'll round down to 5. I guess it wasnt terrible. Overall it was just boring.

Wasted Time

The ending for this movie should've happened about 30 minutes in and then it could've been interesting. We could've seen the terrible side effects of their experiment.Instead, we get 75 minutes of build up for 15 minutes of pay off.Overall, a very good idea that was squandered in the execution.The atmosphere and characters were well developed. But their full potential never realizzed.The writers and directors should go back to the drawing board and rewrite the entire movie using the final scene as the jumping off point about 30 minutes into the story.Only then would they have something truly worth watching.

duped into watching this garbage

This looks like an adventure mystery kids movie but then has near x rated explicit scenes.So i though well lets stick with it maybe these annoying kids that cant act will go away and something interest will happen.Well it just got worse.The acting is just trash. The kids cant act and the adults are worse.The film just drags on without anything interesting happening, basic typical kids at camp stuff and then the end is supposedly horror, mystery, scifi but its just a flop and cringe.Who is funding this movie? How are the writers, directors and everyone involved getting work!I was duped by the high rating by 2k "people". Should have noticed that there were, at the time of writing this, only 4 reviews.Im honestly really upset by getting tricked into watching this garbage.I wish there was a way to black list or tag everyone involved so as not to watch anything any of these people are involved in.
