Plot summary

When Charlotte's son Benny learns about the old tradition of the Christmas train parade, he persuades her to try and reignite the Christmas magic that brought together their community and the neighboring towns. They enlist the help of Benny’s teacher, but just as Charlotte thinks she might be falling for him, she finds out that he’s been harboring secrets related to why the parade ended in the first place.

Another train journey to fall asleep through.

The Christmas (Train) Parade (2023) -I know that I'm supposed to believe in miracles at Christmas, but the events of this film were all a bit hard to believe. Pulling off the massive gathering that Charlotte (Emma Johnson) did would have required actual magic.Her son Benny (??) was dead special and a terrible actor to boot, which didn't help.At least Ryan Northcott was charming in his way as Zackary, but not entirely the whole package that these films have been known to provide with their leading men.Neither of the leads were really subtle enough though and their performances were definitely not very realistic. Along with the rest of the cast they seemed to have been directed to be slightly exaggerated and almost pantomimic.There were a few embarrassing moments throughout too and there were also some very idiotic concepts and flaws with the script writing.Romy (??) the Mayor from one of the towns that Charlotte was trying to unite was adorable however and probably a better town official than most that anybody could think of.When the producers, etc finally realise that Christmas Eve is definitely too late to host a brand new or even revisited/previously abandoned festive event, especially one that people hadn't planned for, they might start to get some writing that has a more realistic plot to it.At a push it might have worked for just the one small town but not to unite four, as Charlotte was trying to do in order to save the train station and the traditions of those towns.In the end Zack was cute, but not really enough to make me want to rush back and watch this one again and I didn't really buy the chemistry between him and Charlotte that much.4.69/10.

It failed to make a lasting impression...

Yup, of course I had never heard about this 2023 movie titled "Meet Me at the Christmas Train Parade" prior to sitting down and watching it here in 2024, as part of my sappy Christmas movie marathon here in December.But from the movie's cover alone, I figured that this would be a run-of-the-mill sappy Christmas movie. But then again, maybe writer Nathan Usher would surprise me and entertain me here."Meet Me at the Christmas Train Parade" failed to stand out in a vast amount of similar movies, as it just simply was too bland and mundane. So writer Nathan Usher didn't really manage to deliver something unique here, and the movie will just slowly fade into oblivion. Truth be told, I drifted off to slumberland twice along the way of the 88 minutes that the movie ran for.There wasn't a single familiar actress or actor on the cast list for me. And while the script and narrative sort of was a swing and a miss, then the acting performances were still fair.Hardly a Christmas classic in any form or manner. And it is not even a movie that will ever land a second playing on my screen, as it was somewhat of a struggle to sit through it the first time around.I suppose that the diehard sappy Christmas movie fanbase might be enjoying this movie a lot more than I did as a casual viewer.My rating of director Dylan Pearce's 2023 movie "Meet Me at the Christmas Train Parade" lands on three out of ten stars.

So silly

It's says amarican on the train the on the loco it says Edmonton with is in canada and 1 person drived th loco and it took 5m to start up the train when it's supposed to take hours also the repair guy that fixed a car some how fixed the loco wich is realy hard to do take weeks and he knows how to drive the loco.also the FREE ADMISSION for the sking place is crazy it's supposed to cost money look at them it take money to pay workers and the mayor realy wanted the social media for the sking place and that part is just cringe the script for the movie is bad also the boy Ben is definitely not 13 and he has social media.
