Plot summary

Gregor Samsa, a traveling salesman, wakes up in his bed to find himself transformed into a large insect. After the metamorphosis, he becomes confined to his room and neglected by his family.

honest adaptation

Admirer of Franz Kafka from more by three decades, I saw with pretty curiosity this fair, honest, beautiful crafted adaptation of Metamorphosis. I liked its Russian air. And the acting. And the new Gregor Samsa , so different imagined by each reader of text.After animations, this faithful to story film seems a sort of fresh air breath.Difficult to write if it is good. It is obvious respectful, honest and just touching , the emotions of lecture ressurecting in their original form.

A Masterful Adaptation of Kafka's Classic

One of the best adaptations of Metamorphosis I have seen.Bringing Gregor to life is a truly difficult task, and this film does it remarkably well. It is beautifully crafted and skillfully executed.The adaptation stays very true to Kafka's original work-capturing all the major and essential parts of the story. Of course, no film can include everything from the book, and the same is true here, but the excellent narration more than makes up for it.The scenes shown from Gregor's perspective are especially striking and memorable.It's disheartening to see some people giving negative ratings to this masterpiece, perhaps without realizing how significant The Metamorphosis is as a literary text.A must-watch for every fan of Metamorphosis.

Awful, really a BAD movie!

Movie night on a Saturday night, just kickin back..."when we finally find a "decent movie, or so we thought" Well, let me save you the time and curiosity...."don't watch this cheap, overly dramatic, weird, confusing (and you know what I mean, very bad movie)?!. If I could take it back I would, "give me my time back, and really bad memories." The guy doesn't turn into a cockroach, and I guess the best award I could give the actress who played the dudes wife would be "please go back to acting school." I'm giving this el stinko movie a whopping 3 stars, and I just wanted to warn anyone, "don't watch it!"
