A real review

This movie is bad,

that being said, the story wasn't all bad, the actors and characters were aight (Main ones).

And then there was everything else, it looked fake, it felt fake and even smelled fake. If you had to make this movie with a high school degree in Eastern Europe with the same budget it would have been better.

If you replaced the racist white guy villain with deuce bigalow it would have been better.

Whoever wrote the main character, I hope it is based off of someone you knew, because it was painful o watch you throw away a nice cool lovely character into the dumpster. Make him smart of charismatic at least.

10 10 10 ACROSS THE BOARD!!!!

Give the Director, Writers, Actors their 10's because MIDAS was an excellent film to watch!

Captivating, compelling and had me glued to the screen from start to finish. Starting with the cast, the lead actor, Ricky has the charisma of a Montgomery Clift. He brilliantly carries this film with his tenacity, wit and his tactful ability to interchange between comical and drama-filled moments so effortlessly.

Along with the co-stars. Suni and Vick- the relationship between these three really keeps you tuned into the entire film. I also loved the representation in highlighting different cultures and the diversity with Suni wearing this beautiful Sari in the ballroom scene.

The director did such a beautiful job shooting this film and highlighting the such beautiful shots of the city as well as some dynamic shots that I hadn't quite seen before in films such as this.

To conclude, Midas was an absolute joy to watch and I can't wait to watch it again!

MIDAS HAS THE TOUCH!

I am completely dazzled by Midas, a film that not only meets but exceeds the highest expectations of modern cinema and I mean that in full transparency.

At the heart of this cinematic marvel is Laquan Copeland, who delivers an astounding performance as Ricky. Copeland's portrayal is a masterclass in emotional depth and intensity, capturing the complexity of a man whose ambition can turn into his greatest downfall. His nuanced performance anchors the film and adds layers of gravitas to the already compelling narrative.

Preet Kaur's role as Suni is nothing short of mesmerizing. Kaur brings a powerful, emotional resonance to her character, portraying a woman caught in the crossfire of Ricky's ambitions and the ensuing chaos. Her performance is both delicate and fierce, perfectly balancing vulnerability with strength. Kaur's chemistry with Copeland creates an on-screen dynamic that is both electric and satisfying. My favorite scene would have to be the bathroom scene between the two.

Federico Parra shines as well, portraying Victor, Parra's portrayal adds a layer of moral ambiguity and depth to the film, making his character's journey both fascinating and a joy to watch. His subtle performance complements the film's thematic richness and provides a crucial counterpoint to Copeland's relentless ambitions.

Sullivan's direction is nothing short of visionary. His ability to blend the grandeur of health insurance agencies and the intrigue with the intimate struggles of the characters results in a film that is both grand in scope and deeply personal. The cinematography is striking, with every frame meticulously crafted to enhance the film's thematic depth and emotional impact. The use of color and light reflects the shifting moods of the characters and the dramatic evolution of the story, creating a visually stunning experience that is as compelling as it is beautiful.

The film's score also deserves praise with a strong opening at the beginning of the film.

Midas is more than just a film; with its sharp dialogue and thought-provoking themes, it keeps the audience engaged from start to finish. The film's pacing is flawless, weaving together intense action with moments of introspection and philosophical reflection.
